[NOVAC announcement] "NOVAC Night" at Crockett tomorrow!

Good afternoon NOVAC!

Just wanted to send a quick reminder about our NOVAC-only observing night at Crockett Park TOMORROW NIGHT, 5 June.  The weather actually looks quite promising so let’s turn out and enjoy a night of observing together!

We would also like this to be a good opportunity for some new members or beginning amateurs to get help with anything they may be struggling with or wondering about.    We’ll set up a small table and canopy on the observing field.    If you could please check in there when you arrive so we can get a good sense for “who needs help” and “who can offer help” and we’ll do our best to hook people up.

No specific start time, but if you need help setting up and configuring that’s probably best done before sunset or certainly not much later than sunset (sunset at ~8:30 tomorrow night).   Some of us will certainly be there by 7 or so to help with setup.   We’ll have some coffee/tea there, but be sure to bring a snack for yourself if needed.
