Homebuilt German Equatorial Mount by Brad Davy

As I have been promising, I have completed construction on my latest version of the roller reduction gear.  This concept uses extremely inexpensive components and a great deal of patience to achieve a very high degree of smooth, error free tracking for a home built telescope.  The pictures here are without the telescope mounted, but it should be obvious that this design is quite versatile for the do-it-yourselfer without access to expensive machine shop tools.  This mount was built with nothing more complicated than a drill press, a router, a table saw, and a Dremel tool.
